Topic: 7 tips for the Escape From Hoth map!

In which I share my 1337 tricks on how to win the Escape from Hoth map.

1. If everything on board the Star Destroyer is black, run around aimlessly until you've memorized how to enter a TIE without getting killed. Do not under any circumstance search for threads on the FS board that may give answers to your question, such as 'increase view distance to 100%'. The FS community is full of liars who state things like 'you need to go to the buoy to win' (see #2).

2. Your objective as a Gallofree transport captain is to destroy the Star Destroyer. This is accomplished by raping as many TIE fighters escaping their hangars as possible, and by randomly flying in circles around the ship's hull. Note that a bug teleports you to well outside the map if you get within a 100 meters to the buoy (which is bugged, by the way, it refused to shoot roll ) near the Star Destroyer, so stay away from that at all costs.

2b. If your captain is moving his ship towards the buoy and moves to a turret to shoot down a TIE, immediately jump into the captain's seat and turn the ship around to rape the ISD's hangar bay! This'll save you from being teleported off the map and thus give you a chance to earn more points cool !

3. As a Gallofree Medium Transport captain, you have access to two bugged weapons that do nothing. They're fun to listen to, though, so make sure you use them - preferably before entering combat tongue .

4. The Ace way to get behind an enemy fighter is the Loop of Infinity - this consists of pitching at close quarters, while your enemy does the same. Eventually you're bound to overtake him.

5. As a captain or pilot, stay away from rebel transports at all costs. Ganging up with other transports or giving them fighter escort is for n00bz, tell them to go play PR if they want teamwork and unfun realism roll . Likewise with TIE Bombers - they have laser cannons and are thus clearly meant for dogfighting, so as a TIE Fighter pilot, go have some fun dogfighting rebel fighters (see #4) lol .

6. A bug prevents you from losing tickets when you die, so keep ramming other fighters, transports, and the Star Destroyer.

7. In every game I've been in, there's been a Rebel starship captain spawn-raping the Star Destroyer from below the southern edge of the map. He'll periodically fire three-shot salvos at the Star Destroyer, and I can't get to him - I just keep getting killed for leaving the mission area.
