Yep, BF2 suffered from way too any cheaters doing things like Dolphin diving as well as wall hacks - cannot forget how many times people came round a corner and shot me straight away - even if I was hidden in grass etc.

And the jets......... If you were in a server where both sides had aces, and they mostly went after each other than cool. If other side had aces and you have losers - you are bomb bait

The only reedemer for me was the Tunguska M1 AA. Although the Type 95 AA and M6 Bradley Linebacker were ok, the sheer bullet power of the Tunguska is just FUN to unleesh! Have spent many a happy hour terrorising Jets on  Daqing Oil Fields and dragon valley, just find yourself a nice open space and keep locking onto the jets. Drives em crazy, and when they find and attack you use a couple of missiles to make em use their counter measures, once they have expired use your remaining 2 missiles to take em out Gun is great to harress them as they come in to bomb you, just make sure your hull is at a 90 degree angle to their approach so that you can dodge the bombs. Most of the time you take some damage, but if you are engineer, you can repair before the next engagement.

My favourite vehicle in BF2 has to be the APC's. semi-fast, nice main cannon can take out helicopters / men / buggys. Guided missile takes out tanks (2 /3 missiles required) and it is AMPHIBIOUS!  Always remember when I took it for a swim the first time, my 2 passengers jumped out thinking it was going to explode, only to see me swimming away in the APC

Finally the armoured vehicles have smoke instead of the shield in BF2142, which I prefer, as if used properly, you can take out any other vehicle with minimal damage to yours.

Yeah, the Stinger sites in BF2 are very poorly placed, with blocked views - they should have been placed higher, with a less unrestricted view, surrounded by sandbags to give some anti-infantry protection. But originally the stinger was designed to be man-portable, although it did end up being fitted to Humvee's, Linebackers etc. For a list of all man portable surface to air missiles see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MANPADS - with so many examples, the exclusion of them from BF2 was a shame. At least MODS like Project Reality have readdressed this issue (good call on this TY2D2 - missed this MOD when I have looked previously).
