Topic: A Handful of servers

First of all.  I LOVE FS.  You guys did a PERFECT job on it!  Dead on!  Gorgeous!

Second, I just had a question, where is everyone??  I only notice two servers with people on it.  I noticed that the BF 2142 1.40 beta 2 is out.  Do I need to download this in order to see more people?

I do have the proper boxes checked, and I see about, ummm. . . 59-63 servers total, but mostly empty.

Actually, correction, I noticed that only the WOLFGaming.net server is the ONLY one that is mostly populated.  With a trickle of others.  Any chances of getting more people involved?  I hate to see this mod fall by the way side with so much effort put into it. sad

Do not install the 1.4 Beta patch. Right now the server situation is as it is, and I dont know why. Keep playing and hopefully we'll get more FS fans soon!

well in my opinion i think there will be more people after r2 or whenever we get more content added.
personally i think its awesome even with the amount of stuff we have now smile

There's a long thread on this already, and we figure it might be the fact that most people have the beta patch, which doesn't work with FS.

or they got pissed by server crashings or not being able to select the unlocks etc. etc...

I think it may be mostly a matter of timing. Right now Bioshock, Quake Wars, other Battlefield mods, the T. Rasa beta, and a metric f***load of other titles are fresh and new for FPS fans. There are also a  few n00b killer 'features'. One of my friends had been discouraged for days because he couldn't find a server to play on. He didn't realize you had to go into the Advanced tab.  Beyond that, I do feel that the mod hasn't gotten the -recent- hype and advertising that it so deserves. If you like the mod, please pimp it, viral it, push it relentlessly in any way you know how. Perhaps most importantly, if you like it, PLAY IT. Populate those servers.
