Better and clearer publicity is needed from my viewpoint.
Firstly there is very little in the way of public knowledge,( I only found out about it whilst searching for random Starwars related stuff about a year ago ) apart from the usual mod sites and a few fan sites there is no exposure except word of mouth , and from the comments I have been recieving back when I chat to people its that the game is seriously unstable (i.e. crashes and freezes). So this is the message we have to presume they pass on to everybody they speak too,and there is no more powerfull tool than the word of mouth.
Secondly of the people I ask about FS that havent tried it there is a massive fear of the installation of a mod .Many have had bad problems before or are harbouring deep doubts as to wether the vanilla version will still function correctly and/or get them banned from the vanilla format of the game.
It has been a very unfortunate start for the mod in the fact that only the really hardcore fans would stick through the initial teething problems we have had to encounter (the shaders problem, the finding servers problem, the ctd's, the freezing and the lag issues),many have suffered atleast one if not all of these problems and even to the us devout followers its been tough at times. Many think this is the final game so are not willing to stick around and many of my clan and friends are waiting till the game has more content and the initial problems are almost completely erradicated.
