Re: Space Classes

Yea obviously... But umm. do you see any boarding? Nope.

There will be more classes as there are maps for them to fit into.

Re: Space Classes

Yes, this goes hand in hand with the thread about interiors for smaller capital ships.

When there is a space map involving an assault on a stationary object such as another static cap ship or a space object of some kind, I'm sure there will be more classes available.

Re: Space Classes

In my opinion, the space maps could have four classes: Pilot, Squadron Leader (see Canadiens' thread), Trooper and Officer. Pilots handle the flying of fighters; Troopers, sans fragmentation grenades, handle boarding; and Squadron Leaders and Officers, exclusive to Squad Leaders only, handle the command of pilots and troopers, respectively. At some point, the Troopers should be given some sort of spaceship trooper model so that they look like the ones in the movies (like the troopers defending Tantive IV in ANH).

In maps without boarding, such as Escape from Hoth and Taloraan (sp.?), should have Pilots and Squadron Leaders only, both of which carry only a hydrospanner and perhaps a pistol and knife for self-defense.
