Topic: Fighting the probot
Are there any good ways to fight the probe droid in low-population scenarios? I just played a 2v2 on Endor and I swear, that thing turned it into a Blair Witch Project-style horror experience. I'm strolling along peacefully, then I hear its robotic mumbling near me, growing closer and closer. I look around me frantically and it's nowhere to be seen. Suddenly I'm taking fire from a laser cannon and it's all over. Repeat half a dozen times. Not to mention being up in that tree house the Ewoks made for themselves to hang out in, and having that damned thing on the ground below you, following you, and knowing that you can't do a thing about it short of climbing back down and getting wasted, and that it's tracking your every move and that the enemy knows... your every move... [cue creepy music]
I seriously can't handle the thing anymore. I try to play as Trooper, laying homing beacons and deploying the scanner droid when I heard it diabolically mutter to itself in the distance, but found that I didn't have the firepower to take it down before it destroyed me. I tried to play as Heavy Weapons with a rocket launcher, but didn't get advance warning and as such couldn't stabilize my rocket launcher before the droid took me down.
Maybe if I played as Trooper with the CR-1 blaster cannon (the 'shotgun' that fires many shots at the same time)? Or as HWS with a repeating blaster? I also contemplate taking a speeder bike to an AT-ST site and kill the damned thing with the wrath of grenades and heavy laser cannon.
Edit: You wouldn't know from the rant above, but I'm not suggesting the thing be nerfed. I just want a way to fight the ******* .
