Topic: HEY FS, Game not working =/

I know you have been getting alot of this lately, but I have downloaded BF2142 (EA Download Manager), I have had to install on new computer. Anyway, then I downloaded Firststrike, then I downloaded the 1.40 patch. I did this in order on Accident ; Install BF2142, install FS, install Patch then I uninstalled FS, repatched the game, accidently deleted FS installer, redownloaded it, and installed. I ran the program, I logged in, chose my soldier, clicked Server list (no servers) so I went to local and wanted to create a local one and it crashed saying "BF2142pace or something is not responding.
By the way I am running Windows Vista, if that helps at all. I am sorry for inexperience of not knowing about this kinda stuff, if this is a easy problem.

usually you have to install bf2142 patch 1.25, then FS, FS 1.1, bf2142 patch 1.4, this way it should work fine and worked for me (i also have downloaded bf2142 via download manager)

Could be a Vista problem. Haven't heard of that error before.

its probably a vista problem, but you could also try updating your punkbuster at evenbalance.com tongue

Nope still not working
And, when i start up Singleplayer check a map it exits saying BF2142pace.exe or something has stopped working!! Errr

SIngleplayer doesn't work without the minimod, but try going to online, advanced tab and that should be where all the servers are.

As for Vista make sure you're running it in admin mode, if all else fails reinstall 2142 and FS wink
