I know that the original www.fsmod.com linked here and now it is www.fsmod.com.

However you should really try to get word and advertising out and update the website that is shown on the game itself to show that it is now fsmod.com

I think you guys knocked yourself out of the top of Google list, with the new website name.

Early on, I would just type in First Strike and you guys were listed in the top first page of Google, which is VERY important for ranking. But now this is lost.  Even if you type in Star Wars Battlefield 2142 mod First Strike this new website is not showing up.  All the youtube videos out there show fsmod.com

I just wanted to let you know that you may need to regain that foothold, because anyone seeing http://www.fsmod.com/ will never find you but be taken to a Star Trek game.

I got pretty confused when I typed in First Strike into Google and I get this: http://www.fsmod.com/

Star Trek

Did they do a hostile takeover of the firststrike.com name?  Did you guys lose your domain name? You guys should have kept that.

Now whenever anyone types in the name of this mod into Google, they will get the Star Trek mod or game which is this: http://www.enterprise-tcw.com/website/

I hope that you guys can regain the ranking.  I'll do my best to pass the word that your new website is www.fsmod.com  because I love what you guys are doing.

I just noticed this today also, when i went to google and typed in first strike and still all it showed was that star trek thing...

hope things get changed! tongue

Yeah this could really spell disaster for the mod as it has been totally knocked out of top Google rankings.  My wife, a web designer and manager, told me that she had to spend almost a couple of years to get a website she was working on to appear in the first page of google and that is no small task.  She said it is imperative that keywords have to be carefully crafted on the first page of a website so that it can remain in the top of Google rankings.  I don't know much about it, but she told me that there is a whole "science" to it, and people fight hard tooth and nail to get to be the first listing on the first page of Google.  With the name changed to fsmod.com and the loss of the original website, it has knocked this mod out of the ballpark, I'm afraid.

Don't feel too much hate towards that mod yet anyone can make a website redirect it's not necessarily them.
