Topic: No Players

Hi everyone. I just installed First Strike a few minutes ago. Everything seemed to be working perfectly until I tried to join a server. The servers were mostly empty, except for one which had 21 players, which I joined. However, when it finished loading and I clicked "Deploy", there were no other players on the server, and there was a "Game will not start until 1 more player joins" message. Other than that, weapons, maps, etc. seemed to work fine, just there were no other players. Upon restarting First Strike, the game still said there were 21 players, but there were still no players when I tried to connect.

I read on the forums before installing that First Strike seems to have problems with 1.4, so if it makes a difference, here is the exact order in which I reinstalled BF2142:

BF2142 1.25
BF2142 1.4
BF2142 Northern Strike
BF2142 1.4
BF2142 First Strike

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and from what I've seen so far (some youtube vids and the limited time spent on the empty server), the devs put a lot of effort into this and it turned out great!

wihich server was it that you tried to join? was it the wolfgaming one? if so, that was has a thing on it where it says 2142 but the 42 got cut out of it so it only says 21 when you read it. The title is really long so thats why that happens

but to answer your're other question, there is hardly anyone ever playing this beast of a mod. Its sad, but we're all hopeing that when 1.2 is released, the playerbase willl expand greatly

21? does the server happen to be the wolf server because the title has a 2 in the end.
""Game will not start until 1 more player joins" is that the game is waiting for more players
it needs at least 1 more player.

Be sure to always choose " ADVANCED" tab at the top of the multiplayer menu.
check "same mod"  and check "same version" in he check boxes.

Yeah, it was the Wolf server. thanks guys. Now I feel like an idiot. smile I, too, hope the player base increases, cause this seems like such a great mid.
