Topic: Fluid Droids

I seem to be constantly being killed by my remote droids.
After placing one, It follows me around the map acting like a nice little pet droid.
Then out of no where it dicides to run me to into a wall, Eventually killing me.

This happened quite a few times with in a hour.
Maybe making Droids fluid allowing player to walk through them would fix this problem?

Re: Fluid Droids

Removing the infantry collision meshes of certain droids is actually possibly a good idea. In the meantime, just so you know, you can 'pick up' the droid for safekeeping with the Pickup Kit key.

Re: Fluid Droids

yeah, removing player collision on droids crossed my mind too. only problem is that the droids will also go through statics smile

What? This should be in the pdf for first strike. I spent 5 minutes pinned up against a wall by my stupid droid. I didn't want to kill myself because i was in such a great position.

Re: Fluid Droids

You just have to be mindful when moving through tight spaces and low doorways.  You just need to either pick it up temporarily, or slow down/crouch as you advance.

I'd hate to see the collision meshes removed.

Re: Fluid Droids

I agree with CAAM. Removing the collisions isn't necessary. May jsut lead to even more strange things happening instead.
