Joint Ops Typhoon Rising had a mortar for one of the kits. Wasnt too bad, brought up a sort of mini map and you had a set radius you could fire to. You were also limited to two mortar rounds to prevent mortar spamming, plus it took a few seconds for the rounds to arrive meaning you needed a spotter to guess where the targets were going to be, not where they were.

For FS though....nah.

I never realy liked artillery in battlefield, execpt for 1942. All it does in bf2 and 2142 is create lag and ennoy people, not to mention the fact that it requires no effort to operate. So unless there will be 1942 style arty Im fine with the mortar we have.

why does the mortar's explosive blow up half way to the target. you cannot fire it that far.
