Topic: Empires Mod

If you haven't been playing FS for awhile and have nothing to do until the release of 1.2, check out this HF2 mod - http://www.empiresmod.com/

RTS of Command & Conquer meets FPS of [Generic FPS].  Kickpie.  But don't get too addicted, FS 1.2 is just around the corner.

(It may not look like much outside of the game, but when you start playing it...  You may never stop.)

Re: Empires Mod

I got too many mods going at the moment so I must pass.

Re: Empires Mod

I so wanted it, for the longest time. But I never bothered to buy HL2, so I'll pass.

Re: Empires Mod

Of interest, Empires mod started amazingly enough in BF1942.  Indeed, I have a copy of that version on my HDD.  I was looking at dropships supplying vehicles onto the battlefield and consulted their work to see how they accomplished it.  Sadly their methods strangely no longer work in bf2/2142 (it's amazing how much stuff in 1942 doesn't work in the later sequels) but their accomplishments in 1942 were well above everyone elses given the engine they were using.

Re: Empires Mod

Yea I played their mod for 1942 a few times by myself, shame it never really caught on back then, it was really really cool.

Re: Empires Mod

Me too. Offline. This was after its death for '42, so I never got to play it online.
