Boost is usually shift.

I used to hate the bikes- thought they were too fast on Endor. I've gotten much better at them, and they rock. Nevertheless- I still hit trees occasionally, usually the one time someone jumps on for a lift smile
I'd wager we all still hit trees, so when we stop doing that, they're too slow.

Speeder bikes are overpowered enough as they are. You can get pretty much literally anywhere on the map with them already, and if they were to be made even faster their jump ability would simply have to be removed.

It's a matter of either-or, not both-and. Either speed, like in Galactic Conquest, or the ability to jump long distances, like in First Strike. If you want to boost one, you'll have to nerf the other.

SOLUTION:  Have two types of each map, one type being the standard (or accurate) type which retains the current speed and an 'extreme' type which has speeders going much faster.  The extreme maps would be for those players who want a more fun than accurate experience.  For example have a Standard Tatooine Mos Ethna and an Extreme Tatooine Mos Ethna.  This would help to boost the number of players, something this mod doesn't seem to have a lot of.

Why not? 

Standard and Extreme versions of each map would satisfy everyone's interests.  Those that want accuracy and those that want fun.  I would even be willing to setup an Extreme map server so that the extreme maps don't contaminate the standard map servers.
