Topic: why cant I play this mod

Hi Guys.Recently signed up, so Hi from me.
Sorry to start things off in a negative light, but bought bf 2142 yesterday just so I can play this mod.
I have all the latest versions, have unchecked Ranked in the advanced tab and can only find 4 servers with noone on them.There are lots of postings from guys saying the same thing but what I cant getmy head around is that there are 2500 odd forum members so why arent there servers to play on.Surely all of us are trying to play so something seems amiss.
Can anyone give me a reasonable explaination for this.
Thanks for you guys for making this mod but you got a catch 22 situation.If we cant play then people are going to get dispondant and not bother.
I haven't even played on a map yet and feel very let down so far.

Well there are community games on every Friday and Saturday during which there are many players online. Regarding the forum members, there are definetly not 2500 active, as far as I know that is a list of everyone who has ever registered with the forum so not nearly all of them are still around.

Dont be let down just log on on Friday or Saturday and you will get a good game, and with the 1.2 update on the horizon we are hoping for a decent influx of players. Whatever you do though just make sure you stick around.

Ok thanks for the intel.I am definately going to stay around because I have been waiting for years for something on par with Xwing Alliance from 4 years ago.Its a digrace that Lucasarts didnt follow up with a brilliant online version using that game.
