Topic: Tank Battles

First of all I want to congratulate the mods for a job well done. Everything seems to work fine so far and there are a lot of goodies to try out!!!

The Rhen Var Ice Plains is definitely one of the most immesrsive maps, beautifully done!

On that note I want to bring up a balancing issue:

The one thing that I offer as a suggestion is to boost the tanks' main cannon damage against other tanks. Even when hitting the front armor it shouldn't take more than 4 hits to destroy one... right now the tanks feel as if they have water pistols mounted instead of real cannons...

The tanks are cool, except the limited range of the secondary weapon makes it almost useless. I wish the secondary weapon woiud move up. The tanks look great thougjh.

The secondary weapon of the Firehawke (Imp tank) is for killing infantry, so it doesn't really need range. As for the T1-B, it performs best at close range, anyhow, I've found, as its missiles are very inaccurate at long range.

So as far as I understand from testing, Imp tactic should be to keep the Firehawke away from the T1-B, while the T1-B should try to close with the Firehawke as fast as possible.

Yeah, we made sure to have the tanks very different so when the sides were swapped the tactics would change as well. Long tank battles imo are more fun, it makes the battle more intense.

Dont run off in a tank without filling it. While you manouvere to keep away from those rockets your gunner can use the turret to plough away and help deplete your enemies health. ideally move as a tank column and use squad tactics to all fire at a single target to take it down quickly.

Don't forget, FS works best with teamplay. Play together and you will win...go in singles and you will probably fail.
