Topic: #1 best and worst thing about 1.2

OK, so the few rounds I've played of this mod online after release have been awesome (I can't play the mod I've worked so hard to test because all of a sudden I have a constant high ping of 900+ even after shutting down all applications, etc... sigh), but I thought I'd make this thread after all, just out of curiosity. So:

Name the thing you like the most and least about FS 1.2, as well as your favorite map. Me:

Best: Either the shuttle or the artillery freerunner. Once people learn to use those two effectively like they're meant to be used, they'll transform the mod completely.
Worst: I can't play. I've got serious things I could put instead, but the devs know of them, so it'd feel like whining hmm .
Favorite map: Rhen Var Ice Plains, for the combined arms combat.

Worst: Wish we could get a server that can handle larger amount of players on Yavin. approx. 32 players is the max it will work with no lag for me online so far. 


Favorite map: Bestine: well because I made it and I absolutely love watching people run through my city I have worked on for like 9 months detailing and planning. It makes me think back to those hours and hours of work when I imagined them fighting in there, and now its a reality for me [lol ingame reality] so it just blows my mind when I see a squad doing cool squeezey pooh utilizing stuff that I MADE and planned out... and then seeing it all come together in a huge epic fight.... I always want to keep voting for my map, but restrain myself because I don't want to be annoying, yet I just want to play it so badly, you guys probably wouldn't understand my pain tongue

Best: I like the little things, like reloading, new textures, arms on speeder bike, etc.

Worst: 4yr old computer +  crappy wireless connection + servers that can't seem to handle alot of people = Nearly unplayable game.

Favorite Map(s): I like the 2 Rhen Var Maps. Though I haven't gotten to play Yavin yet.

Rhen Var Ice Plain/Research Facility >> Ryloth >> Bestine >> Endor Clearing/Convoy Raid.

As most of you know I feel the shooting lets the mod down considerably.  Up close its fine but over distance, the distance that most fire fights are fought at, the dispersion is too much and is not enjoyable. The guns lack that blaster experience from the movies because of this. The jumping looks out of place tbh and is a trait from vanilla, please get rid of it.

I enjoy all other apsects of the mod.  The flying is awesome the maps are really well done and the ground vehicles are an absolute joy.  10 out of 10 lads, I'm loving it.  If the shooting was tightened and given more wack this mod would stand up on its own as infantry only too, with all those lovely toys you have given us

Worst: Some of the new Players don't make or join squads... sad
