Topic: A-Wing / TIE Defenders missles overpowerd ?

The Missles of both vessels seemed quite overpowerd for me.
They are fire & forget, simple spam them in the way of your enemy and watch them die.

Sunday i tried with a friend "Impirial Convoy Raid".
He was flying straight to the Bulk Freighters, i was behind him with a little distance.
He didn't get a warning, and I fired all missles at once.
He was hit and killed, not one missles hits the Bulk Freighter (no ingame message for hitting own troops).

IMHO whose missles should be nerfed down, so they need a lock on.
Because the A-Wing and the TIE Defender has no second secondary Weapon i suggest to toggle between "Dumb" and "Lock on" missles, both using the same magazin.
With lock on the Missles will track the target, with Dumb they fly a straight line (but don't warn the Target).

the T/D has ion cannons as a secondary weapon.

I launched all my missiles at once, at the freighters- thinking they were torps. I was shocked to see them swarm off after 2 different fighters and get me a kill.

Of course i couldn't get a kill with the missiles for the rest of the game... whats the effective range on those things?

I love these new missles but I agree they may be a little too powerful. If you sit by your restock ship and just fire away you can get a lot of kills...someone usually notices you though and shoots one back and since you aren't moving at all you die pretty quick....How long do these missles live before exploding? because you can outrun them for a while.

I havent even been able to play convoy yet. A randomised map rotation would be great.

I haven't been able to play the mod yet.

So if I'm in an X-wing head-to-head with a TIE Defender, and he fires a missile volley and I break away at 90 degrees and speed boost, will I most likely die anyway?

Impirial Convoy Raid ist Tie Defender vs A-Wing, both have missiles.

Battle of Taloorian has now also A-Wings with missiles.

I don't know how the missiles work in Dogfight, but simply spam them in the greatest concentration of enemy fighters and you get a lot of kills...

They live a pretty long time, and if they swoop in after you and miss, often times, THEY COME BACK AGAIN!
