BUT! after 2 mins LITERALLY 99% of my team started yelling 'need ammo' and there wuz no supply/officer (coz why take it when u cannot destroy atst with it? or anyone from a distance). eh, enough for me

With that in mind, why dont you be the support or officer?

Or do you only want others to do the teamwork? tongue

but then how do i know if others im my squad didn't take officer (when everyvody is dead during deployment countdown; i didn't die until i ran out of ammo in that round)

another thing is it's impossible to manage a squad made of strangers;
what, if u told someone to change to medic would he listen?

but ok, if it's impossible to apply such thing into bf2142 as Safe-Keeper said then EOT

Re: Have you ever played America's Army? (teamwork)

You can't take down an AT-ST with a Support Unit? Are you playing the same game? Heard of Det Packs? DEMP Guns?

If you are talking about the Officer class rather than the Support Unit then you are right, but then only the Squadleader can spawn as this unit, and should be co-ordinating the squad anyway, not blowing up AT-STs.

As far as leading a squad full of strangers, sure it is easier leading a squad of friends, but using the comm rose and typing in encouragement and giving text orders you can still have a good well working and cohesive squad whether friends or not. A good rule of thumb is to monitor how other players performed in the last round, and if they were good teamplayers last time then invite them to join your squad in the next round. As time progresses players will realise that the way to win this game is through good teamplay and squading up, working together is what this mod is all about. Do that more successfully than the other team and no matter how good they are you have a good chance at winning, well certainly a better chance than if you go off lone wolfing.

Already played it. I don't play it anymore, 'don't know why

Re: Have you ever played America's Army? (teamwork)

you can too destroy an atst with support.

1: hide behind building
2: shoot it with demp
3: plant demo charges
4: run away and laugh.

OK, the point is (or was? i don't know) that if there would have been 1 support for 5 heavy guns they could destroy every atst that appeared on the hills before it reached the walls.

when imperials reach the walls u have to switch from rockets to guns coz there's too many of them and u simply get killed when you face an imperial while holding a rocket launcher 1 vs 1...

i mean, it's so simple to defend in squads:
-officer deploys heavy gun in good place
-support gives ammo to it, and shoots with EMP(i mean the gun) into atst
-2xheavy guns gives shield and shoots with mortars/rockets
  -medic heals
  -trooper/medic/heavy guns shoots

additionally, they put proximity mines and antivehicle

and noone can pass... but no! everybody has to run around the map as they like, and if u take officer, there's no support to give ammo to gun, if you're a trooper there's no medic, if u're heavy guns = no ammo/medic  if u are medic u have to chase others and eventually u get killed

Re: Have you ever played America's Army? (teamwork)

Well that is why you put a good squad together and ask as Squadleader for those under you to spawn as the classes you require. If you have a good squad they will listen to your orders and provide you with the assets you need. I have done this countless times in this game, including times when I have put together a squad of strangers in public games.

Re: Have you ever played America's Army? (teamwork)

And simply check what classes are needed before respawning (pressing TAB or looking at the Squad Screen) is also helpful.
If where are 3 Heavys in a Squad and no Support this Squads defenitly doesn't need a 4th Heavy Weapons Specialist...
