Topic: Back - Red screen while circling

This is a realistic Idea to prevent people from circling in space.

If you always circle(in this case pull up) your blood becomes pressed out of your head by the centrifugal force -> Your eyes can't work correctly anymore and everything becomes black.

If you do it the other way around(pull down) the blood will be pressed into your head and everything becomes red.
When everything is black/red you can't see anything anymore and then your are a victim

This is an effect that is also detected in reality when doing this in an aircraft.
And spacecrafts are even faster, so the effect is bigger there.

Re: Back - Red screen while circling

But there is no gravity in space,so does the effect of G-forces still apply?

G-forces still apply, but all the fighters in Star Wars have inertial dampeners to compensate for this.

Re: Back - Red screen while circling

If you change your direction your body still wants to move in the direction, that was there before. It's like driving a car around a curve. That has nothing to do with the gravity.

This was an example on earth. An example on Space is the earth.

The becomes pulled into the middle of its circular path around the sun, by the gravity of the earth and the sun.

But the earth becomes also pushed away by the centrifugal force.
Both, gravity and centrifugal force are equal strong, so the earth keeps its path.
If the centrifugal force does not exist, the earth becomes pulled into the sun.

Right, it's called inertia smile

Re: Back - Red screen while circling

Implementing blackout would actually be a great way to stop the endless turning fights newbies always engage in. But I fear many players wouldn't like to see it.

Especially since it's extremely inaccurate to lore.  The only time it ever occurred was when inertial dampeners got shot out.
