So, I was sleeping. And I dreamed of a grand old map called "Great Fleet Engagement". It was two blimp-shaped Mon Calamari cruisers on the bottom (fully mobile, didn't launch starfighters); vs two Star Destroyers that were static, but did launch fighters. I don't remember what planet it was over, but I remember specifically thinking "why haven't I seen this map in the rotation before?" The Alliance had X-wings and B-wings, the Imperials had TIE Interceptors and TIE Bombers.

I ended up on the Imperial side, and so I manned the Star Destroyer's positions (it was now crewable, with nine different stations, six of which were anti-ship batteries, three of which were anti-starfighter guns on the sides and top). I noticed the first cruiser come at me full tilt, so I did the position shuffle while returning fire... then I came across a fairly strange weapon. It fired a massive energy pulse up from the ship, then down onto your crosshairs. I hit the cruiser with a few of those shots and it exploded in a great blaze of glory.

I then mysteriously switched to the Rebel faction (The round must've ended) and piloted a B-wing. Targeting the other Star Destroyer, I was squad leader in a squad of six, all flying fighters. I ordered "Hit the topside shield generators", and everybody formed up on me. So we flew in, noticed a whole lot of turbolaser towers firing up at us, and attacked the shield generators on top. I remember them looking suspiciously like Deflection towers. The torpedo torrent destroyed both generators. We then started to attack the bottom shield generator (canonically, it's a reactor dome, but I guess the map creators took the Rogue Leader route). The bottom generator looked kinda strange, like two towers coming down from the ship with energy bouncing between them. I remember finally getting nailed by an Interceptor.

The round ended, and I was completely dumbfounded as to why I had never seen this map before. So I went onto the local-server setup screen and looked through the maps. There it was: Great Fleet Engagement, with a screenshot of a few X-wings flying between a pair of Mon Cal Cruisers, headed toward a pair of Imperial Star Destroyers. I remember starting to join a server with 63 people in it playing this map... then I woke up.

I find this, at once, hysterically comical, but at the same time, entirely possible.
