Unfeasible for several reasons.
1. As far as I know, it's not lore-accurate or realistic. The battle was fought by infantry, speeder bikes, and AT-ST's. I don't even like the inclusion of the probot, so naturally I wouldn't want to see a flying shuttle.
2. Landing a shuttle in a heavily forested map would be very difficult, and come to think of it, there are only a few places it can land. The losses would be really high, even if we went into the map editor and made a whole lot of more clearings for it to use as landing zones.
3. The trees are low-polygon models which look nice enough from ground level, but downright horrible from above. Open a BattleRecorder file of EST and you'll know what I mean. So we'd have to make new tree models from scratch.
4. Because of the edge the shuttle would give Imperials, adding it would require hours of testing and rebalancing.
So no, I don't think so.
Another Tatooine map is NOT a bad idea- how many china maps are in BF2?
You have a point, but China offers far more varied terrain than Tatooine, for one thing. For another, there are so many scenarios and worlds to explore in the SW universe that people easily feel they're being "cheated" out of a new experience if we stick to the same world over and over again.
As to date all the Tatooine maps have centered around cities I'd like to see a Tatooine map done in the style of a broad open wilderness with rock crags, smattering of buildings/moisture farms and possibly a valley or beggars canyon (not one the size OR unplayable dominance of mines on Ryloth)
I'd actually like to see a huge El Alamein-style tank battle map myself. Just huge flat expanses with some scattered hills, plateaus, forts and maybe a tiny village or two.
I don't think I want to see another Tatooine map in the near future, though, so it should have to be on another planet, and not in a sand desert. A relatively flat expanse of tundra would work really well due to the tundra's lack of trees and overall beauty. It'd be a welcome change.
