Topic: Knife posibilities...

I was playing a 2v2 game yesterday and Ramius and I started thinking of how fun it would be to have a knife only server up and active. We also thought restoring meele weps to 1 hit kill would be nice too... atlest for back and head shots.

Play nice with crayons... they work for Vader.

Knife needs to be a one hitter with Back shots... when you are behind them you have the oppertunity to land a killing blow. The fact that it doesnt can be annoying as hell.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Knife needs to not be one-hit-one kill. Otherwise you have scenarios where you can just run up to someone shooting at you with his rifle and kill him. Ranged weapons should beat close combat weapons, regardlessly.

I have had a few one hit kills with both vibroknife and stun baton (more with knife) that I think must have been lucky 'headshots'. I've also had situations where four registered hits haven't killed an opponent, which is a bit frustrating when I've made an effort to sneak up on my target.

I prefer the almost guaranteed one hit knife kill of vanilla, but I'm not that bothered by it that I want to change things in FS.

Knife is great in FS, I think I still have the most kills with both of them.

Yoster told me once that knife is one hit kill if you hit in unarmored parts, like neck and knees. I'm not sure if he was right.

I aim for the eye socket with the vibro-knife , and aim for the booty hole with the stun baton.
