Completely off topic, but auto-censorship sucks and, to my mind, is a mark of a lazy forum administrator.
How come the original word for a donkey gets changed to 'pie', yet I can type the proper English 'arse' no problem? There is no consistency, and in any case, neither word is truly offensive in this day and age.
I wonder if it'll let me type my hometown of Scunthorpe? Hmm, it does... that's something at least. On one forum I visit the surname of the famous movie director with the first name of Alfred came out as 'Hitch****' – ridiculous!
'Foul language' was the term used by the Norman French conquerers of England to describe native language of the Anglo-Saxons. Looked at objectively, that was as much of an irrational prejudice as racism or sexism. I don't imagine I'll change the outlook of the English-speaking world with that statement of truth, however, so in the meantime, please turn the auto-censor off for all but the 'worst' words, then moderate the forum properly and delete/edit any deliberately offensive posts.
Back to topic... yes, you could load your own MP3 tracks into the BFV radio, but only you could hear them. Only the tracks that came with the game could be heard by anyone in your vicinity on the server.
Drifting off again... It's a long time since I played BFV, but I remember the choppers being beauties to fly, especially after wrestling with the choppers in the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 (whence sprang BF2, I'm led to believe).
BF2142 a nerfed version of BF2? I actually thought it had many improvements:
No more prone spamming or dolphin diving was a great improvement in the gameplay.
The introduction of Squad Leader Success and Squad Order Bonus Points was a big incentive towards teamplay.
Best of all (IMO), maps where the armour was pretty much side-lined (Berlin, Belgrade, Cerbere, Gibraltar, Tunis...) made for some great infantry-only action.

Mmm... vanilla!
