Re: A niche for the EE-3

TBH, I dont care to see it, or Bounty Hunters included in FS at all - atleast not for a while.

Decent, thought out maps is what FS needs. I obviously mean no disrespect , but FS has too many filler maps that are rushed, last minute aditions.

Endor Clearing and the Rhen Var maps stand out as maps that ,atleast in my opinion, aren't up to scratch.

Ryloth has its problems too, namely visually and the middle canyon area(no-one can be assed to go down there)  , but could be fixed up pretty easily.

And, again, I mean no disrespect. heck, I was on the team when a few of these were made.

Re: A niche for the EE-3

I dont know why people honestly say that having hand out kits to specific people would be a good idea. I really do think that it is unfair. RabidJohn you made the point that you would be a likely candidate for the rifle, well what about everyone else who may not be as good of a player as you are. I think that would be pretty unfair. I think that if the team only gave the rifle to specific players it signify that the developers have just taken an even bigger sh1t on the rest of the community than they already have. Only good players and developers get the cool guns! Good for them, bad for everyone else.

Re: A niche for the EE-3

Personally, even if I was in the same place as RJ I wouldn't want to be given a kit.

My kit is the officer kit.  Unless the Bounty Hunter kit will help me do my job as a regular Squad leader better, I have no use for it.  Perhaps the Jetpack would come in handy, other than that however...

Quite a statement considering it is a free game that we spent a hell of alot of time and energy working on.

It is my understanding that the jetpack kit that the devs used on friday was intended as abit of fun, not as a way to take a sh1t on the community...

My point exactly...

I doubt I'd have very much use for the kit either, Gwynzer – other than maybe bugging other players like I used to do with Prox Mines!

However, it might be a bit of fun towards the end of a round as a reward for a good team player.

3. I was thinking this rifle would function in a fashion that would have less ammo and be more accurate than an assault rifle at extreme range so as to give regular soldier a bit more of a chance against long range snipers. Kind of how the Battle Rifle functions against the Sniper Rifle in Halo 3.
4. I think the weapon should be semi-automatic only, and have 3, 10 round energy packs. Along with an adjustable scope that cant achieve the ranges of a sniper rifle. Kind of like how the sniper goes about 4x-10x this scope would only go 2x-4x.

Wow, I'd love to see an EE-3 in FS, but I agree that it may be difficult to shoe-horn it in as it doesn't really fit any of the classes or sides.  Having said that, some of the other weapons currently in use aren't exactly lore accurate for the rebs or imps, and only appear because they are in other SW games.  So yeah, maybe we could see it as a long range weapon as Ulti describes (but not a secret kit).

But more importantly, which version would it be?!!  Personally, I prefer the ROTJ version, I think it's much better looking than the stubby ESB version that most Boba Fett fans prefer.
