Topic: Northern Strike Unlocks stopped working after FS install

hello. here is my problem: Northern Strike unlocks do not show up in 2142 and when i have a new unlock available, it will not let me unlock any of the Northern Strike unlocks, as if NS was not even installed.

here are the steps that led up to this, which will help understand why im asking this question in the FS forums and not the EA forums:

1) i updated BF2142 to v1.5.

2) i downloaded and installed FS v1.2

3) then i installed the 1.2 to 1.3 update for FS

4) i launched FS, went to multiplayer, clicked on the first strike tab, and tried to join a game. only about 6 games showed up, and every game i tried to join gave me a message about not having the map installed, which included a link to the FS webpage.

5) i quit FS and launched 2142. none of my current northern strike unlocks showed up in BFHQ anymore, and i am also unable to unlock any new northern strike unlocks. also, when clicking on any awards in BFHQ (excluding any pins), the game crashes right to desktop. no error messages or anything, the game just immediately quits.

6) i have since worked with EA to figure out the problem. they suggested uninstalling FS (which i did with the FS uninstaller), then completely uninstalling 2142. EA told me what to delete from the registry to completely remove 2142. then they suggested reinstalling 2142, updating to v1.5, installing northern strike, then updating to v1.5 again. i did this and am still having the same problem. EA suggested i contact the FS forums because this problem did not start happening until i installed FS.

is there a way to completely uninstall FS, or did uninstalling 2142 (including the 2142 registry values) already uninstall all of its components?

anyone else have this issue, and can anyone please provide any helpful feedback?

hmm im not sure i remember something hapend like this too me before but i d k if it was bf2142 or bf2 but  anyway the team should figuer it out

I have seen this happen once or twice before with NS.
I added NS after everything , had a license key problem , and fixed it.
But others Have lost NS benefits after earlier FS installs, but not many.

any news Luke?

what i know for sure now, is that its not an account issue, its a computer issue. i logged in on my friends computer and all my northern strike stuff was there as it should be.

if no one has any ideas, perhaps someone could tell me EVERY location on my computer where i should delete any FS files, including registry and windows user directories. at least that way i can be sure theres nothing on my computer related to FS that could be contributing to this.
