Topic: Non-Scoped Weapons Zoomed/ Iron Sights Misaligned

I have a suggestion for weapons which do not have scopes, such as the Imperial and Rebel medic blasters.

I've noticed that when you press the second mouse button to zoom in with those weapons that the angle of the gun is slightly tilted, which makes aiming with the iron sights nearly impossible.

Here is how I think it should be. Take, for example, the main weapon in the easter egg jetpack kit. When zoomed in you still use the iron sights just like the medic weapons, but they line up perfectly straight so the iron sights are quite useful.

Also, on all non-scoped weapons I would like to see the cross hairs disappear when zoomed in. The cross hairs over the iron sights is quite distracting for me, and in many ways is redundant.

In vanilla 2142 when zoomed in with the pistols you will notice they are lined up perfectly so the iron sites are true and useful, and the cross hairs disappear.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we are aware of and it will eventually be fixed, but it is currently rated as a low priority item.

Agreed.

Nekosaur,

Thaanks for the response. I know you have your hands full with new maps, new vehicles, etc. ... I'll keep my eyes open for this fix with each new release.

I don't want to be a pest, but just for the record, the targeting reticle for starfighters and other air/space craft are out of alignment. Anyone try hitting an exact spot on a target continuously while rolling? tongue
