Topic: Strike at Bimmiel discussion thread

As the title suggests this thread is for giving your feedback on the strike at bimmiel map.
                          The map is not far off complete (depending on feedback suggestions) its been tested on a small scale and seems too play reasonably well.
                          One of the biggest issues with this map is 'bottlenecking' there is a lot of it as u will soon see. Please leave feedback on what its like trying too fight your way up the mountain with limited options for attacking. Is it fearce and focused firefights that are very fun and intense; or is it just a real grind that gets on your nerves as it seem impossible? 
                            One important thing that needs testing in a combat situation is the new giant tower i built that goes up the side of the mountain. Inside you will find a daunting staircase stretching all the way too the top. Please comment on what it's like too fight your way up there, again is it fun or just a grind. Also does it help with releaving pressure on the pass? Its intention is too act as an alternative route up that can also be used by the rebels too mount a rear assualt on the mountain pass entrance and imperial checkpoint.

Please note that although the map isnt far off its still WIP. there are tweaks needed all over the place, and things like vehicle spawn times etc need too  be adjusted based on feedback. Commetns on the look of the map are much welcomed, in particular the lighting, is it too bright? One thing i will note is the trees  are not final, they will be replaced with much better more random trees.

As you'll soon see, you can get atop the mountain with a speeder. You'll also see why i don't make many videos... Not enough power in my PC to record and play! I got up a few times without exploding in a ball of fire- you come up right at the CP.

Yeah, speeders can get anywhere tongue But I believe this is another map that will be a push map.

Remember guys, we mainly want you to focus on gameplay in each of the maps, look at layout, signs of area's where you can be bogged down indefinitely (like Ewok village!). Each map is still a Work in progress and is far from complete.

Real good round on this map.  Increase flag radius at some of the CPs and work on the last hill and I think we've got a good map.

I hope vehicles are going to be locked on this. Rebs are just speeding up to imp base stealing walkers then raping. Also, more tanks to balance it rather than piddly walkers tongue

Turbolaser towers add nothing to the game. Its already been mentioned that they have no strategic value whatsoever. They should either be removed or altered to have true line of site along the area they are defending.

agreed on most things said here already. increase cp radii, lock vehicles, spawn some heavier vehicles further along as rebels take cps. also, while the staircase tower is a nice structure in itself, the practical value of such a long staircase is rather small. when you have the choice between going up a hill for 10 sec or up a staircase for upwards of 1 minute, the choice is not hard.

at least 2 probe droids arent firing they deploy but u cant shoot otherwise great map dude
