In an attempt to improve performance on this map we have taken off the ai guns from 64p version, we need to get a full croud on there to test this out and see if there are any improvements.

Still slight lag, but not as much as before, and I think playing with around 24 people is about the max I've seen on any Yavin map so far anyway.

Overall, there was definitely an improvement from previous Yavin battles.

I noticed that the auto turrets were still spinning around. that must cause lag in performance

it was mentioned last night that not all AI turrets were disabled, maybe turning them all off would be more benefitial, and increase the number of manable turrets instead. IMO the AI turrets make very little differance unless you going low and slow.

Yeah, I saw a few AI turrets spinning, get them all disabled. It wasn't that much better for me last night, but it was a little smoother, so I'd say we are on the right track. As soon as the lasers started flying though, my framerate dropped through the floor as usual with a busy server on Yavin. Maybe dynamic lighting on the blasterbolts is another issue. Though I think we should try optimising everything else before we look to them, as they look so pretty.
