Yeah, was a little put off by the Wartime style (Pathe) newsreel footage at the beginning of the movie rather than the classic yellow text crawl, but in its proper TV series format it works rather well and sets the Wartime tone very nicely.

I agree we need to see some nice CIS victories, but with Anakin's Padawan biting the bullet/blasterbolt at some point and the carnage hinted at in the CIS super weapon episodes I don't think we have to worry too much about that, I think we are going to get some quite dark episodes considering this is a "kids show".

Bring it on I say.

Clone Wars movie was probably completed early in the opening phase of the TV project , they have since refined much of their animation process , improved the rendering engines, and recruited better animators , because that's the impression I got from watching the 3 episodes , Asoka is nice addition to the Star Wars cast , and I wonder what her fate will be . ..  The wooden thunderbirds style of design is offputting at first , but you get accustomed to it , the acting (esp. Anakin ) is a improvement over the new trilogy films. The biggest emphasis of the story arc shared in all 3 episodes is that the Jedi were treating the Clones as individuals , not as weapons as Palpatine employed them.  Making their betrayal of the Jedi that much more biting ...   Cartoon Network earned 4 million viewers with the pilot premiere night (US) , which is their highest ratings ever. Enjoy this show, but be prepared for withdrawals syndrome when new episodes stop.
