Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Well this kicks off again tonight, over in the US of A anyhow, time to get the old torrent software out for a swift download tomorrow.

No news yet of when we'll be able to catch it over here, though I assume it'll be on Sky Movies again.

This still goin? I lost interest around the time when Tarkin was introduced (not because of him - I had just grown bored of the show as a whole)

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Eh, didn't really love it.  maybe because I can never understand why they always want to be in the open and 2 meters apart when they shoot at each other and then still don't manage to hit anyone.

Really wish they had more focusing on competent clones like the first season did a few times.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Found it a bit middling myself actually, some good set pieces, but too much time spent cowering around in the dark awaiting the next attack. Was good that it actually ended with the Seperatists victorious rather than the standard darkest hour and then suddenly the Republic pull an ace out of the hole, though I guess that'll be coming next week.

Still, Mon Calamari made for an interesting locale, and there were a few interesting new characters in the mix. Captain Ackbar was pretty cool to see, but wasn't he not supposed to be a military leader until he became a slave and served under Grand Moff Tarkin and learned military tactics from him? I suppose that is an EU backstory that they might well just ignore. Unless he just learned larger scale fleet tactics from Tarkin.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I wasnt too impressed. For majority of the time it doesnt even feel nor look like they are underwater. Only in a handful of scenes the feeling of being submerged stands out better but for like 95% of the time it just doesnt work. Where are all the bubbles?

OK so shark dude is a new villain who will most propably face his end next week like any other crook that the separists have. He wasnt bad but he wasnt especially good character either. Unlike that prison warden in last season, I had very neutral feelings about this fella. Sure it was a nice lil thing to make a shark-like alien but come on, didnt you see that coming a mile away?

Oh and nothing says CLONE WARS more than getting more Padme and Jar Jar. Happy. Happy. Joy. Joy. Sheesh... Let's see what the rest of the season brings, but this was not the strongest opening.

And Ackbar? Meh, another classic character that just had to be pulled in.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I am also wondering why hes not dead yet, I mean the shot where they where stuck in a tunnel and 3 or 4 guys shoot at his back almost point blank and then miss...
