Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Clones wont execute them, nor will Krell. Im sure they wont have something like this is in a kid's show.

As much as I'd like it that Krell would decapitate them both, which btw I thought was very close to happen in the first episode.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

So ends the best story arc in the whole series. This has been the best four episodes in the entire series and this has partially made up for all those damn padme & jar jar episodes. Not going to spoil anything of it this time. Just saying that I loved it when the clones had to deal the situation themselfs and not by Anakin and/or Obi-Wan.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Have just watched all 4 episodes back to back, and it was epic. Have to admit I didn't see that one coming, genuinely shocking plot twist, a great finale to a cracking story arc, and as Flippy says, no cop out Obi Wan/Anakin rescue at the end, the clones have to deal with this situation themselves. Easily the best hour and twenty minutes of the entire series, gripping drama, great action. I won't give anything away either, it is enough to say this was an epic 4 parter that didn't put one foot wrong over it's entire length. Fantastic stuff.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

So... watched Kidnapped. We are back to the usual rubbish lanes of the CW. Yawn, yawn and another yawn.

The series loses tremendous amounts of excitement and charm the moment it has Godlike Jedi's in it, doing everything so flawlessly it is just not even funny anymore. Superduper jumps, dodging hundreds of blaster bolts, making the AT-RT's perform such tricks that would seem impossible...

Only thing interesting were the new types of Droidekas... but then again we noticed they had a weak point. Which begs me to ask the question, what was the point in having those droids if the regular Droidekas are generally far better?

I didnt like this episode. It was too predictable, it didnt have anything exciting going on (minus the start with the speederbike battle) and it reminded me about how bad TCW can be when the Jedi are in.

Oh its been a week when the last arc ended and I already miss it so dear.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I agree. It is definitely back to more standard fare here with Jedi Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka called in to investigate the disappearance of a colony of Togruta (Ahsoka's species), it turns out that they have been captured and turned into slaves by a race of slavers backed by the Separatists. Unfortunately this episode comes across a little run of the mill because of comparison with the great story arc that preceded it. What becomes clear is that the major fault and reason for a lack of any real drama or peril (which was there in spades with the more Clone-centric story arc) is that the Jedi are just depicted as being too powerful, everything is just too easy, and with that lack of any true struggle (even Obi-Wan's pasting at the hands of the slaver leader is only a distraction so Anakin and Ahsoka can deal with another plot point) there is no real drama. It looks like this is going to be the beginning of another interesting story arc, but they really need to up the anty in regards to the level of threat that the Jedi find themselves facing, or nerf them somewhat, as currently the Jedi seem to be able to tackle whatever is thrown at them in their sleep.

Was also a little disappointed to not see the plot thread from the beginning of the last arc (Where Anakin is called away from battle by the Supreme Chancellor) addressed here. What was so important that Palpatine could order one of their best warriors away from the front lines at such a crucial moment? Hopefully this will be addressed at some point and not just be left dangling.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Yeah after last week episode this one is just meh.

Right from the start of TCW I hoped that they would adapt existing Clone wars novels/comics etc. mainly because they can't write worth a damn. But think this was a really mediocre choice.

Nothing more to say really after the past 4 weeks of easily the best TCW has ever delivered going back to the rubbish is just not palatable.
