Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Hey all. smile

I too thought the movie wasnt that good (better than the original cartoon Clone Wars tho) but it kept me seated from start to end. But this series, I like it, I like it a lot. It has less God-like Jedi action and it also focuses on the stormtroopers themselfs which imho is just absolutely fantastic move. Some of the episodes are slower (Jar Jar Binks ones mainly) than others, but those that provide action are just absolutely great. I always thought Grievous was the only real cool character (aside the clones) in the prequels, and this series have made him even more cooler. Shame tho the first Shame tho the first season is closing to its end. But its been quite nice season so far. smile

Only thing I didnt like was that the episode 16 messed up the timeline a bit. Now if one wants to watch the series in a chronological order, you have to watch episode 16 first, then watch the movie and then proceed from episode 1 and forward. Not that it messes things that bad, I just thought it was kind of weird move.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I'm pretty glad that they filled in the gap between The Clone Wars and the New hope, there's so much
ideas, battles they can use. Only thing that ruins it is that you know that Ankain, Obi-won will probably survive since you seen the later movies, so theres no worries for them. But the action is pretty cool to watch. I heard someone here mention that it should have been the game instead of the movie, funny thing to think about.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

Well this series isn't actually based on the time inbetween the Clone Wars and A New Hope, (well okay, it kinda is, but you know what I mean tongue) It is set after Attack of the Clones and before Revenge of the Sith. So you know what eventually is going to happen, but this is more about revealling the day to day details of the Clone Wars (which kinda got skipped in the movies with AOTC featuring the first battle, and ROTS the last) rather than dealing with Anakin's fall to the Dark Side which is dealt with in the movies.

As far as Asoka is concerned since she doesn't appear in ROTS it is safe to say that at some point in the series she is going to come to a sticky end, so it will be interesting to see how they deal with that.

And regarding a series that will fill the gap between the ROTS and ANH, the new live action Star Wars series is said to be dealing with tales set in that mostly uncharted era.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I just hope they don't worship Boba Fett too much in the LATV. Sure, he's a cool character but I'd like to see more Imperial vs Rebel stuff.

Re: Clone Wars TV Series

I'd be greatly satisfied by a Galactic Civil War series done like this cgi Clone Wars series is.
