Topic: Loading Problem

Right, it appears whenever i log onto a server, and attempt to load it goes black and i get the error "First strike has encountered a problem and needs to close". Thats all i get, dont know why this is happening because this hasnt happened before. I'm useing the luncher like many folk are.

Sounds like a corrupt file, try a reinstall?

It sounds like you have the wrong version of the mod installed.   Have you updated to 1.3?  Does it work if you try start a map under Mulitplayer -> Local Game?

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

That happens to me, as well, whenever I use the launcher. Have you tried just using the "old-fashioned" way of starting FS? I'm sure just re-installing the launcher would fix it, but I'm just too lazy at the moment. smile

I tried the old launcher, didnt work and yes i'm up to date on the game. So, can ya think of anything else that might be the problem?

Have you tried starting First Strike from vanilla?
