This is rather difficult to describe, and unfortunately I don't have any screenshots.  Every time I start a map the entire screen is opaque; it's like some sort of liquid has splashed across the screen.  And no, I have not spilt or smeared anything on my monitor.  I'm running a dual core with a Geforce 8800 GT.  Any suggestions or assistance will be greatly appreciated.
