Topic: dump to desktop and no one playing

I solved the "No servers" with unchecking except "same mod" as mentioned in another forum post.

I now get the servers, no one seems to be playing at this time.

I thought I would join one to have a play on my own, it loads up, then dumps me back to the windows desktop before I can click "join game"

Do i need to patch BF2142 as well, i will try this anyway as I havent played in a while.

You need Battlefield 2142 version 1.5 to be able to play

yes i know this, it still doesnt work, not even after updating punk buster, still getting the modified content message

It then messed up the vanilla, so enough is enough now, its all uninstalled and vanilla is back on again, i dont usually touch mods due to things like this, after this I wont be bothering again.

Just a question: How did you manage to play vanilla with it not being patched to 1.5?

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

you can't install a 2142 patch over FS and expect it to work

It is IMPERATIVE that you have 2142 updated to the latest version before installing any mods at all.

This is how i install everything:

1. 2142
2. 2142 - 1.4 full
3. 2142 - 1.5 incremental
4. FS 1.2 full (if you dled 1.4 full then disregard this step and step 5 / 6)
5. FS 1.3
6. FS 1.4
7. Launcher

(if this all makes sense tongue )
