RANT

Ive realy had it with this damned engine, its so buggy and glitchy with some spectacularily terrible collisions and physics in general, even the ragdolls suck. Yesterday on Mos Espa I burned up three full stamina bars trying to climb some stairs, I felt like I was running up an escalator in reverse mad How did they go from such a great engine that was 1942 to this total crappage??? I remember one time in vanilla I was killed because I bounced off a rock while trying to jump over it. And don't even get me started on the fall damage.

Why oh why did they create such a crappy engine??? The only good thing I can say about it is the walker physics.

I bring this all up now as a friend of mine has given up on a mod he wanted to make because the engine is so restricting. Would have been a great mod. sad

I hate to get stuck so easily on little rocks or things you cant even see on the middle of the Road.
I like the HL2 Engine alot more, but they dont have a great SW Mod wink ... or vehicles or huge maps...
But it feels alot more solid than the one Dice used to pull out here.

FS was already ported once. It was a mess.
Not shure if yall remember but FS was for BF2 once.

Yep, I remember that.  There was going to be a playable wookie and stuff!  Sometimes I wish this mod would have stayed with BF2.  But no one could have foreseen such glitchiness.  As it was pointed out, we all expected it to be otherwise considering 1942 & BF2.  Anyway, I still have a good time playing (even when there isn't a lot people online).  But I usually take a smoke break when a space map comes up.  Darn you Dice!  Darn you ALL to HECK!   smile
