Topic: Crash after Launch

Hi
I have just installed FS and when I click launch
it shows the BF 2142 start up screen the my screen goes black
then the game crashes to the desktop

Any help would be appreciated!

Can you please tell us your Operating system, graphcs card, GFX card driver version (if known) and what version of BF2142 (deluxe, normal, EA: Download manager) you are using?

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

I'm using windows xp, nvidia geforce 6200 256mb graphcs card and have the nomal dvd edition of  BF2142.Do i need to install any patches etc? Thanks for your help in advance.

You should install 1.50 first, then First Strike 1.4. If you already have, try running in windowed mode and tell us if you get an error message.

I downloaded the latest patch and it starts up fine now.

hello,
I am new to this mod and I have only been able to play once. Everything is fine untill I want to join a server, it loads normally but when I click launch it CTD. My 2142 version is 1.5 and my FS version is 1.4. I am using windows xp and my graphics card is Ati radeon 256 mb X300/X550/X1050(dont know that is supposed to mean) and 2Gb ram, I have been able to play the vanilla bf2142 with all settings on high, with a bit of lag. One time I was able to join a server but it was empty so I desconnected. I know this problem has been posted already but nothing what people said helped.

A lot of servers can cause a CTD on deployment at the moment, try the Rogue Tribe server or DS gaming and let us know what happens
