Topic: SW: The Old Republic

I Think we all have heard about this one by now. If not, stop hiding under that rock and go here
http://www.swtor.com/

After the release of the second movie i was wondering:
Who is going to play this?
1. Hell yea
2. Gonna try it first
3. NO!
4. Dont know yet
Why or why not?

as for me:
Yes its a MMO and yea you will most likely have to pay monthly fee. I have close to 0 income, but this small fee i can always spare (no i will not pay for your fee) if you drink like my brother does it would be 4 maybe 5 hour less off getting drunk aka: not getting drunk and remembering the good time you had wink

It looks great sofar, but im not sure about a jedi only MMO. I want to say #1 but think #2 is a better option for me

Re: SW: The Old Republic

The art direction looks absolutely terrible. What were they thinking??

It better have blinding gameplay, because it looks utterly shite.

Re: SW: The Old Republic

They call it PRE-alpha for a reason..

I'll never forget all the morons who flooded their forum with dumbass complaints about the lightsabers and how they seemed like glow stick toys, to just have them say that it was a placeholder for the time being roll lol

The art direction  (ie. cartoonish) is very much deliberate (that's what the art director says anyway). It will probably improve quality-wise, but that isn't what I am complaining about.

Re: SW: The Old Republic

the problem with going for realism in mmo's in the fact that you (the player) will see every little fault there is and think would look out of place....
and making a mmo with high system req would be like telling 80% or more, of you potential  paying clients: No you cant play it.

Re: SW: The Old Republic

We already have a jedi-only mmo. No need for the same game set in a different time.

4. Dunno

I'm watching this game's development although I'm not sure I'll even play it. I don't have all the time in the world. Plus there's the chance that the game may turn out to be a dud.
