Topic: Game Crashes

Hi,
When I try to play space maps  in Single Player Battle of Yavin and Escape from Hoth the game is crashing after i hit deploy button or just when it finishes loading. Also i found that the game is sometimes crashing without a reason. And why i don't have Battle of Ryloth??? Did you guys deleted it? I Remember that it was in this version :http://files.filefront.com/FS+SP+1+2+June08exe/;10457962;/fileinfo.html, but I wasn't able to play it.

I'm running on XP 32-bit SP3
Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2,20Ghz
RAM: Kingston 2GB 667Mhz
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT 256MB DDR3 and properly installed drivers (but I think that they are not the latest)
Also i have BF 2142 Deluxe (but I don't activated Northers Strike yet) with latest 1.5 patch, First Strike 1.4 and SP FS_SP_126_13CT08 from :http://files.filefront.com/FS+SP+126+13CT087z/;12055572;/fileinfo.html
All downloaded without any download managers and installed properly.

Any suggestions????

I'm not to sure if Ryloth is included in the Single Player minimod.  As for Yavin and Hoth, i can't explain whats wrong with them.  The Singleplayer Minimod is a completly seperate entitiy from First Strike (for now), for the full FS experience you'd want to play during the community games.  There is one today (saturday) at 9PM GMT, and another tomorrow (Sunday) at 7PM GMT.  Try join for these and see if you still have problems.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Thanks for quick response and advice but I will not be able to play FS online. My connection is very slow and I just can't play online, but thanks after all. hmm

PS: Yavin and Hoth worked for me yesterday, but from unknown reason they are crashing today.
I must have something messed up with the system. I will reinstal it shortly and then try to run it out.

maybe you need to patch the minimod.
AFIAK was Ryloth removed from the minimod because it didn't work.

Thanks for your help. I will try it out when I reinstall my system to make sure that it works fine and install the  newest graphics drivers. smile

Newest Nvidia drivers cause problems with 2142, if I remember correctly.

With anything newer than nvidia 175.19 your screen will flash black when you're getting shot at or explosions go off near you. You can fix it by disabling anti-aliasing ingame and forcing it on via the nvidia control panel (you can do it for firstrike.exe.)

One of my friends claims to have the latest drivers and AA on ingame without any problems but I doubt it's true.
