Topic: Please insert bf 2142 cd

Well, I got BF 2142 today and I decided to download FS 1.4
now at first I didn't know I need to patch the game, but this problem still accure even after I patched it to 1.4, I tried using a 1.4 crack but it didn't work as well ((my game is fully legit))
So, please help me, thanks sad

I used to have my 2142 cracked also- and when 2142 patched to 1.5 it didn't work anymore. I had to use the disc then. There is no 1.5 crack that i am aware of.

You have two options really-

(a)Use the disc
(b)Dont play sad

If you bought the deluxe edition of 2142- you have a third option- which is a digital download. You get a free download of the game which doesn't reuire the disc to play.

What versions are you patched up to for FS and for 2142?

You need 1.5 of 2142, and FS 1.4.

If you run Vista do not run in compatability mode for windows xp. You will get the please insert 2142 cd error. Just a thought.

Make sure you have downloaded and installed the BF2142 1.5 patch which you can get Here. There is no working no-CD fix for BF2142 patch 1.5 so you need to use your disc.


If BF2142 is up to date, you have your disk in, and still get the message, post back with what version (Retail 2142, Deluxe Edition or Download Manager) of 2142 you have.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

No, I patched BF to 1.4 and FS 1.4 I didn't know I needed to patch BF 2142 to 1.5, I'll do it now, thanks smile
