Over the past 2 weeks I've been eager to play FS but of the 8-10 servers I see (of which only 2 have a decent ping for me) No one is ever playing. Last time I played was with a whole 7 people!

BlackIntel Game Leader DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated. I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.
It's a prisoner's dilemma. If everyone played, the servers would be full, but people show up and don't see others play, so they don't log on either. As Gwyn said, the best thing you can do is just populate servers yourself.
"One of the bitches actually gave birth while she was attacking, and her puppies joined in on the carnage." --the awesomeness that is Boatmurdered.
Also use a little common sense. If there aren't alot of you on, use a server that has low player numbers, which should in theory mean smaller maps. Not a lot of fun playing 64p maps with four people.
Oh goody! Is this the fabled hidden arcade mode I been haring about? Press Alt-Tab while on the server menu and you get a free whack a JaJa hidden game!
