Topic: So I heard you need a coder

Hi there. I'm experienced in all aspects of BF2/2142 coding, I've been coding for almost 2 years. I was a Project Reality dev for about six month, I'm currently listed as a retired developer at their forum. I also know how to animate and model, but I'm neither an animator nor a modeler.

And here's an example of my work:
First Strike: Improved A-Wing Cockpit

Re: So I heard you need a coder

Hello mate.

That cockpit is outstanding buddy big_smile I like how u've added an attitude indicator, nice touch. I presume you did the texture's and hud urself aswell?

You say your a coder but in your example i see so much more talent than mear coding (ducks as Imperial and Woodrow throw stones).

Joking aside it wouldn't hurt to have another coder on the team, but more than anything I'd like a hand modelling and texturing as i seem to be the only one doing it at the mo. I have a huge list of jobs/chores i have to do, mostly modelling and texture work but some coding aswell so i would be more than happy to share my workload!

I havnt the authority to ask you to join our team, but im sure impy will be along shortly to have a chat with you big_smile

Re: So I heard you need a coder

Your work there is amazing.  The "Lookaround" view was attempted by the FS team a while back, but came with an issue regarding the lasers, an issue which is NOT present in your video.  All the stuff going on in the HUD there aswell, with the shield indicator changing depending on the ships damage... you have my respect and awe.

Seriously, I'd wish you luck with this app, but you don't need it.  If you don't get approached by "the team" quickly, then it is them who are loosing out.

Re: So I heard you need a coder

Thats really good work there, I never would have believed that you could get a damage indicator on the cockpit-screens like that, if youve also solved the mouse look laser issue, you will be alot of peoples hero. I think its fairly safe to say your on the team as soon as imp see this nice work.

I shall prod them in to action. Can't view your work right now but I respect the opinions of the guys that have already posted. Hope to see you around.

Love the Lookaround  and the other features.  I thought I saw a bit of zoom ability too.  This is definitely the Mod Team for you, Mosquill.  wink
