Topic: It wont start

Every time when I try to start the first strike mod it say's that you must put the right DVD/CD in. The same problem is with the original BF2142. My DVD/CD isint scrathed or anything else. I have the vanilla installed not any expansions or deluxe etc. Please help

If it's a problem affecting the vanilla install as well then sounds like either a problem with the installation of 2142, dirty/scratched disk or the DVD/CD drive is naffed. Unless you're trying to use a no-cd crack.

you could try uninstalling fs and 2142 then re-installing 2142 and patching to 1.5, then seeing if it works. If you get a problem with installation or the same no cd error then best look for a new drive methinks.

This happened to me last year, I believe all I had to do was rename the bf2142.exe to bf.exe instead.
