I think its Win 7 and 2142 man.
I have 32bit and have the same problems with FS and 2142.

If your computer/processor supports virtual XP, I'd advise you to try that.
Mine doesnt.

I have windows 7 64-bit and that map works fine for me.

I have no probs running FS on any version of Windows 7.
