hi Gwynzer, i remeber you...not good or bad but the name
actually the whole BI story startet with a squad member complaining about some BI player destroying his tank with a lambda shuttle by crashing into him
of course my selective perception began and saw one glitching around from the top level to the ground, making he whole level-design obsolete, i think it was on the sensor station map.
long story short...i am sorry for my harsh words in my previous post and i understand its all based on the fact BI players are obviously very experienced in FS, knowing about all the...lets say 'details'
on the other hand i understand the negative reactions from new players, trying to understand the most basic mechanics, like the mentioned shield thingy or finding out what that weird beeping antenna is from the officers kit
of course, everyone has to gain skill and know about the maps...but you know, i see so many not even using the reb-fighters- or a speederbikes-boost...standing by non-cappable flags (ignoring those 'tiny' arrows on the map^^) or having no idea about those turbolasers on each side of the SD over hoth...and so on and on
if i can help, i do, create a squad and give hints in teamchat...and sometimes its just hopeless, as im trying to understand all this too
as i said "rot together"...its the classic of clans having their squad on pub servers...
i remember a very fun round where 2-3 of BI's and 10th's where on each side, mixing up with new recruits, creating effective squads and balanced teams.
and a butcher round with all vets on one side and a squadless army of newbs running around like headless chicken on the other...continuosly leaving
i actually now wonder about the missing auto-balance and shuffle features ...
uuh...enough of this...i think you know by now what it's all about.
sooooo.....thanks for the video hint..i found the bunker-video and ...wow....i love it!
now im even more sad about that part missing...
*hopes for next big patch*
aah yes...the 'nerd-map' Parmel
i like dogfights too, but fighting over an objective just would give the map more juice i'd say.
maybe destroying those containers or some station shields.
what i really like about yavin is the possibility 'not to fly', but to man a turbolaser instead, giving those who dont like flying atm or at all an alternative (and to stay). i can imagine some dont have a joystick, so they prefer to man a gun of a y-wing or corvette.
Parmel offers a very nice imp space station and could have a simple interior area with some tie-prototypes in it maybe which must be destroyed, so the rebs have to land.
just imagine flying by the platform and observing those small stormtroopers patroulling around the station

aaaah....i know this is all daydreaming...
but i hope i could clear up some misunderstanding a bit
'what was that? aaah.. it was nothing' *pew* ... 'i'm hit'
