Topic: FS doesn't launch?

Hey all, I'm new in this community, a friend of mine introduced me to this awesome mod since i'm a big fan of star wars.

I have battlefield 2142(just play singleplayer because i cracked the game)
It works perfectly, and the installation for the 1.5 fs mod worked wonderfully.
I select the shortcut and the launch menu appears, but when i try to launch the game a window appears saying to check if the cd is in the driver and to try again..

Any ideas why does this happen hmm ?

Youu will not be able to play online if you're using a fake CD key or something of that nature.  You'll be able to play singleplayer though, however it is no where near as good.

To fix your problem:
Navigate to your BF2142 installation folder
Delete FirstStrike.exe
Make a copy of BF2142.exe
Rename that to FirstStrike.exe


Alternately, just replace your FirstStrike.exe with This one and it should work.

DUKE815: Teamwork's complicated.  I've found that ramming a Lambda with a Y-wing at full boost is most effective.

Thx man, i'll try that.

Ik i can't play online with a fake cd, but we'll see if santa's generous this christmas and gives me the proper funds to aquire it among others..

Sorry to be such trouble, but now i face another issue.
Before joining battle, (choose class and spawn place etc, my mouse doesnt appear yikes so i cant select a spawn place and play yikes

Has anyone else had this problem? because without my mouse showing i can't select a spawn place and play sad
