Topic: ..question about 1.2

i haven't played 2142 in awhile, but after i saw some great clips of first strike on youtube i want to download it. i see that version 1.2 is coming out soon, so i decided to wait till it's released.
   my question is, can i just go ahead and download 1.2 with-out downloading any earlier version?

   Thank you and can't wait to experience first strike.

I am 99% sure you will need the latest version of FS installed before you cant run 1.2. And I advise you to download the mod as soon as possible since 1.2 is still a few weeks away and there is a very nice community game scheduled for tommorow evening. wink

Welcome!

There will be both an incremental patch for those with the current version and a full installer for 1.2

So yes, you will be able to download 1.2 without needing the earlier releases smile

hello, i had to create a new account because for-some reason i couldn't log back in and new password that they gave still didn't work. anyways..
first of all thanks for the quick replies and i can see that you guys really wanted me to download first strike instead of waiting for version 1.2.
i downloaded version 1.1 from first strike download section. after completing a window pops up saying i need battlefield2142 1.25 to install first strike 1.1.
do i have to delete battfield2142 patch 1.4 and download 1.25 than install first strike 1.1?

you just need to ignore the 1.25 thing and install it

damn it. after it said i needed 1.25 i deleted first stike, but i will download it again.
now i know, thanks blind3001.
