Topic: Low FPS in space, ground unaffected.

I get roughly 50-60FPS on ground maps and it plays out just fine the whole way though. However, when playing space maps and there is over a few players, my FPS drops below 20, and 10-15 when I am attempting to shoot someone down. Any tips on graphics settings to improve my space map lag?

I have a P4 2.66GHZ
ATI Radeon HD 2600 512mb
1.5GB Ram

And I play on mostly medium, some low.

Thanks! smile

No clue, u should have just as good fps except if ur flying with 40 plus people with blaster bolts galore.

I was under the impression the HD's were some of ATI's newest cards.  I have a nvidia 8500 gt 512 and I run fs and 2142 on max.   On that note it might be your p4.

HD just means it has HD output tongue They've had an HD option on most cards since about 2004-05

no idea, I have no drop between space and any other mapo, in fact Endor tends to have most impact on my FPS.

Oh, and the title of this thread should be changed. This is not lag this a graphical issue. Lag is completely different.

Odd, well I wonder if my computer should support better graphics settings.  I used to have a 9800 Pro and there didn't seem to be much of a change in performance.

I understand what HD means TY, I just didnt see the HD untill dx10 and vista came out, which was not o4-05.
