Topic: PPC SD card problem

I just got an Ipaq 1945 and put in an empty 256 Mb SD card in and it thinks it is almost full. (I have about 2kb left) any suggestions on how to fix this?

after looking into it a bit further, it seems that the PPC is somehow corrupting the sd card if thats any help.

Re: PPC SD card problem

any suggestions? I'm open to anything.

Re: PPC SD card problem

SD card ?  do you mean the SDRAM module itself ?
If so , SDRAM is some ancient outmoded memory with a about a 133 mhz buss speed at max .

Re: PPC SD card problem

It sounds like its broken, did you buy it that way? Or have you had it for a while? I had this happen to my usb flash drive recently, so my suggestion is to trash it and get a new, a nice big 2-4 gb card, unless its got valuable data on it, in which case you should get a flash media good recovery utility (software not hardware as long as you have drive to read them) for your PC.

Re: PPC SD card problem

I tried formatting it many times with the comp, and the device itself neither worked. and the thing is is that It works in my old palm pilot and the card reader on my comp.

thanks,
