Topic: Most Impressive!....but this game is not a Jedi yet.

Ok, that was a lame thread title, but hey, it's true.

I spend hours last night scouring the forums for answers to my technical problems with this mod, and I managed to get it running without crashing (Thank you search tool!) and enjoyed running through Tatooine, alone. There were only 5 or 6 servers online and nobody was in them.

It appeared most of the servers are East Coast, dictated by the high pings to all the empty servers. Some had 200 pings, which leads me to believe that some are in Europe.

Can I expect:

-No West Coast servers?
-Extremely few people playing?

I would be happy to recruit my clan to play this mod, as most are sick of BF2142. Some are die-hard Star Wars fans too, like me. But how can I impress these synical bastages with this mod if nobody is playing?

Any and all input is appreciated...I want to enjoy this AWESOME mod!...but not at the expense of a 140ping and no online players.

I'm not American, so I have no idea. Be glad you have US servers in the first place, it's worse for the Asian players who don't have servers at all wink .

-Extremely few people playing?

Yes and no. Currently the game has a very small player base, in part due to initial technical problems. However, we have community games which typically draw lots of players on Fridays and Saturdays, and there are often a number of players on if you just time your playing correctly.

And when 1.2 comes out with the Death Star, Ryloth, and other good stuff, I'm sure there will be far players to the mod smile .

Re: Most Impressive!....but this game is not a Jedi yet.

I'll stick around if others are sticking around...obviously no sense in playing a multiplayer game is there's no multiple players....(pun intended)

I can't wait to give the game a real go tonight...I'm stuck at work until 3:00pm PST, but I have EBAY items to ship so I won't be online until 6 or 7pm tonight.

Take care people!

Well before 1.2 comes out you can always get a few things to make it more fun.

1. Hamachi
2. FS Singleplayer minimod
3. Extra Maps for Singleplayer.

Then you can create a virtual network, start FS_SP, host a COOP server, and potentially play with up to a 100 'players' with your clan mates maybe like 4-5 at a time depending on your connection speeds smile
